Career and Technical Education (CTE) Pathways are organized programs of study designed which allow students to pursue studies in specific fields of interests while preparing for their post-high school goals. Each CTE Pathway provides opportunities for students to obtain college credit and/or industry recognized certification, and leads directly to employment or an articulated apprenticeship or college program.
Recent changes in state graduation requirements provides students the option to meet state Math and English/Language Arts Graduation Pathway requirements by completing 2 credits within an approved CTE Pathway related to their career interests and goals. For an overview of CTE Pathways in the Edmonds School District, we have created a downloadable CTE Pathways Planning Guide which provides an overview of each CTE Pathway option including information on how to include CTE Pathways as part of the student's 4-year plan for high school and beyond.
Students may also visit our CTE Pathways website for more detailed information for each CTE Pathway area.
